Silver Linings

The clouds have silver linings,

There’s roses ‘neath the snow,

In every storm a rainbow bright

Formed by the tears that flow.

The lighthouse shines the brightest,

A far off ray of light,

Shines from the shore to sailors tossed

Out in the storm’s dark night.

A flower’s bloom is brightest

Deep in the forest glade.

With courage there it blossoms sweet

Beneath the leaves’ dark shade.

The stars will shine the brightest

When darkest is the sky.

It’s when all other hope has gone

We feel our Savior nigh.

It’s when our hearts are breaking,

When all earth’s help is vain,

We feel our hand within God’s own;

His love relieves our pain.
